We Love Jesus Too!

And when Allah will say: O Isa son of Maryam! did you say to men, Take me and my mother for two gods besides Allah he will say: Glory be to Thee, it did not befit me that I should say what I had no right to (say); if I had said it, Thou wouldst indeed have known it; Thou knowest what is in my mind, and I do not know what is in Thy mind, surely Thou art the great Knower of the unseen things.
(Qur'an verse 5:116)



What Muslims believe about Jesus?

•His name is Esa in Arabic as well as in the Aramaic which is the language Jesus spoke.

•After saying his name Muslims say: Alayhis salaam, which means: peace be upon him.

•We believe him to be the Messiah that the Jewish scriptures spoke of and that the Jews were awaiting.

•We believe that he was one of the greatest prophets and messengers of God.

•We believe that he is the Word of God.

•We believe that he performed many miracles by God's permission.

•We believe that he was born of a virgin.

•We believe in his second coming.

•We love him as we love all other prophets before and after him which is Prophet Muhammad.

•A person who does not love Jesus and believes in him is not a Muslim.

•We do not believe that he was crucified but that God raised him to the heavens.

•We do not believe that Jesus is God or the son of God.

•We do not believe in a trinity or a duality.

•We firmly believe that like all prophets before and after him Jesus preached the Oneness of God and instructed his people to worship God alone.

•We believe that Mary is the best woman of the creation.
